GET THE BOOKS
LIBRARIES
While the sales of books to individuals is important, so are
our public libraries. If the excerpts interest you, but you are not an
avid book-buyer, see if your library has a copy to loan. If they don't have
one, ask if they can get one. Better yet, get a group of friends
to go together and encourage the library to buy the Jade del
Cameron mysteries. Then, since you may want to pick the book up
and read it again later,
go buy your own copy!
LOCAL BOOKSTORES: IN PERSON, BY MAIL, OR ON-LINE
Local
bookstores, whether locally-owned or part of a chain, deserve our
business. On-line commerce is great but it can't replicate
the ability to browse in the atmosphere only a bookstore can
provide.
I always sign some extra bookstore copies when I do a reading or
book-signing. Check out my "Events"
page for where I will be or have been. Come and visit ... or ... many
bookstores will send you a signed copy. Last year one of my
favorite authors was doing a book-signing tour, but not close
enough for us to go. My husband was able to get me a signed copy
of the new book by contacting one of the bookstores on the tour.
Independent Bookstores: In person, by mail, or on-line
In some cases, copies of the hardbacks have been
purchased by some mystery-themed bookstores and signed by me.
Check out a mystery bookseller in your area or search for member
of the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association.
You can visit them or contact them to purchase books.
You can also buy online from independent booksellers of all kinds, finding them at
IndieBound.
