Reviewer's Comments about Jade and "Stalking Ivory "

“American Jade del Cameron returns to Africa in 1920 for her second adventure, and I do mean adventure … I've never wanted to go to Africa, but reading this series may make me change my mind … wonderful, inspiring book.” -- Mary Mason, Deadly Pleasures, Rating A

“Jade is a wonderful creation. She’s independent and intelligent without being abrasive … fearless without surrendering her femininity. … The African setting provides a perfect backdrop for the action; and the author's experience with animals shines through clearly. Superior characterizations and a well-plotted mystery make for a worthy addition to this fine new historical series.” -- Deborah Hern

“… a delightful historical whodunit starring an independent courageous woman … Fans of Alexander McCall Smith's Precious Ramotswe No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency tales will join Jade on her amateur sleuthing safari.” -- Harriet Klausner

“Spunky and courageous Jade del Cameron, the appealing heroine of last year's ‘Mark of the Lion’, returns in Stalking Ivory, another top-notch adventure-mystery from Suzanne Arruda … a ripping good yarn.” -- Jay Strafford, Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch

"… a great female character in an intriguing time and place. Think Tony Hillerman meets the Rift Valley.” -- Barbara Theroux, Fact & Fiction, BookSense Notables

“old-fashioned sprawling action adventure stories, full of strong, fast-paced action and larger than life characters, with a little bit of romance for a sweetener. Vivid, lose-yourself-in-it virtual travel to a very different place and time, and a life whose excitement makes the usual humdrum disappear. What a lot of thoroughly escapist fun reading. Recommended.” -- Kim Malo, MyShelf.com
